Day 5 - All Aboard the STAR Ferry!!!

The jet lag is getting no better and we were up at the usual time today... lunchtime.....

We headed out to have some brekky.. and then went onto the MTR to go and have a look at some of the other parts of Hong Kong.. First stop Causeway Bay Station... which is the MTR station near us in Times Square.. From here we caught a tube train to Hong Kong Central... The MTR is really good... it's easy to find your way around... and English language signs are anywhere... even Lee couldn't get lost on there and believe us that's saying something...

We got off the MTR at Hong Kong Central and then caught a connecting train to Tsim Sha Tsui which is in Kowloon.. we went and found the Penninsula hotel and had a look around... very very posh.. apparently tea for one there is £30.... crikey!!!!

Wandering around the streets we lost count of the number of times we were asked if we wanted to buy a suit or watch... even the same people asking us 2 or 3 times..... we weren't exactly dressed up either... there's only so many times you can say no.. and you felt like telling them to shove their suits up their arse!!!!

We then wandered up Nathan Road... past Chunkung Mansions (the rabbit warren) and headed to Jordan and the Temple Street Market... lots of designer copies here.. but all a bit samey to be honest..... We then headed to Jordan MTR and caught the train back down to Tsim Sha Tsui and headed for the Star Ferry...

These are a bunch of old boats that cross the harbour between Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and Wanchai... It's cheap as chips to sail across.. about 20p and the trip took us about 10 minutes to get to Hong Kong Central...

Tired we caught the MTR back to Causeway Bay and got some tea.... absolutely knackered... we should sleep well tonight..
