Hey there.. we've had quite a chilled one today... we decided to have a bit of a lay in as we've been up and about quite early most days...
We went to the SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) today to watch an AFL (Aussie Football League) match between Sydney Swans & Carlton Blues.... The stadium is cool... Took us quite a while to work out what the rules are..
Basically it's 2 teams of 16 trying to kick a ball that shaped something like a rugby ball through 2 sets of goal posts.. they get 6 points for the centre ones and 1 points for the goals either side.... it seems that anything goes tackling wise and there was nearly a couple of punchups...
The game was pretty long though.. 4 quarters of 30 mins each... we got bored after a while and left after the 3rd quarter but we saw the Swans had won when we got to the hotel...
We walked back to the hotel via Oxford Street which is a slightly seedy part of Sydney.. use your imagination!!!!
We're going over to Heidi's tomorrow (Lee's cousin) who lives in Coegee for a barbecue.. so hopefully the weather holds up good...
