Monterey

Hello Peeps,

Got back from Segway tour and relaxed for a while as our legs ached a lot ! then headed out to find somewhere to eat which in America you would think that would be an easy thing to do but not near our hotel !!! we walked for about 7 blocks found a steak house but wasn't a lot in the menu but there was a very nice guy outside who gave us some ideas where to go and how to get there, we walked another couple of blocks and found a pub / restaurant was nice food for me and lee but Jane was ill that night after hers not good.

Next day me and Lee went on a wine tour surprise surprise !!! Jane moved to the tour hotel and relaxed for the day.

We picked up our tour at 12 midday so had a lay in nice as still not sleeping because of jet lag drove over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sonma to three wineries first was ok second one good and third better but that may have been the wine making things seem better !!! at the last place we went too the guy ask to see our ID the age is 21 to drink in the states I ask him are you serious !! so we handed over our passport's and he said to me (Lucy) sorry this is fake I don't believe this is you it says you our 32 and you don't look it he then asks me my birthday I said 4.3.80 he said good then the next question was what happen on the 4.3.81 I said I don't know I was one he said right answer you can have wine of course he was messing around with me but at first I was scared he was being serious and i wasn't gonna get any wine !!!!! lol

Got back to the Travelodge around 6pm to collect our bags and head over to the Hotel Carlton which is the joining hotel for our tour, as it was rush hour the lady at the Travelodge said a taxi could take a little while to come I said to Lee lets walk it's only 17 blocks the lady on reception said it was to far but it only took us half an hour with our ruck sacks up and down hills, checked into the hotel the receptionist here ask to see id for the room lee gave his passport and then the guy ask what Lee's blood type was Lee said I have no idea receptionist said I need that for legal reasons Lee just looked at me I said I don't know and the guy started laughing and said i'm just messing with you !!! it wasn't our day people just like to whined us up lol was funny though.

Today first day of our tour coach was leaving at 8.30 for early start today our tour guide is called Linda she seems ok she knows alot about the areas we go around which is good, i think me and lee are the youngest on the coach !!! today we left San Fran heading to Monterey stopped at Carmel nice coast line drive. we drove pass Pebble Beach Golf Course where they have the US Open which was right next to the ocean very nice there surrounded by big houses.

Tomorrow we are off to Lompoc..
