Gday!!!!
Sorry about no post for the last couple of days... we've been very busy and had a lot of Wi-Fi issues..... It's the weekend here but we've kinda lost track of what day it is as they all seem to blur together!!!! So where were we when we last left you... Ah yes at Nelson YHA... We had an ok nights sleep there and then set off for Greymouth at 8am yesterday (Friday)....
First stop a pit stop for some food and then onto Cape Foulwind where we stopped off to view a seal colony... didn't get very many good pics of the seals as they weren't very close but lots of good pics of the scenery!!!!
We then stopped off at Pancake Rocks for some afternoon tea and then onto Greymouth... On the way into Greymouth we had the road blocked by a load of sheep which was funny!!!! We were staying at a hostel called NOAH'S ARK BACKPACKERS .... no we are not kidding... see the pics below... we were staying in the Zebra room!!!!!!!!
We booked onto a tour of the local brewery called Monteith's and an all you can eat bbq after that at the Railway Hotel..... The best bit about the tour was the tasting of SEVEN BEERS afterwards and the free half an hour after that where we had use of all the pumps behind the bar to ourselves to pour as much as we want...
We had a really good night as we were on the tour with about a dozen people who'd been on the Magic Bus that day... Slightly pissed we headed back to the hostel... we didn't have a great nights sleep and weren't pleased to have the alarm go off at 7am... Still we packed up and caught the Magic Bus at 8am..... We stopped for some brekky and then went to a town called Ross....
Apparently this place has a million ounces of gold underneath it.... Lucy did a spot of Gold Panning and took some away as a sovenuir (with some Jade stone for good luck!!!)...
We then rocked into Franz Josef about midday.... It's a town right near a Fox Glacier!!! We're staying in the YHA for 2 nights... It's big, nice and clean!!!! We're off to explore the area around the Glacier tomorrow!!!!
Lots of Love
Lucy and Lee xxxx
PS - Lots of pics and vids below from various days.. We've tried to indicate where and when they were taken!!!!
PPS - Lucy even got a new fleece today!!!!!!

Hi Guys, it's lovely to get so many photos and videos together at once. New Zealand seems a beautiful country, spectacular scenery. Lol at the Zebra room! Interesting place names as well. There seems to be a bit of a theme with visiting all the breweries and I agree with Shirley, you look very comfortable behind the bar! Loved your dancing Lee, was this before or after the trip to the brewery?!!!Have fun, love you loads, Mum, Dad, Tom and Chris xxxx
