We're here in kaikoura!!!! So our last night in Christchurch (for now as we go back through in a couple of weeks to get to the North Island) was ok.. we had a nice meal at an Italian cafe (as you can see below they do Pizzas with style) and then watched a film back at the hostel...
We had an early start this morning as we were getting picked up the Magic NZ Bus as 8am from another hostel... We thought we were being smart by setting the alarms on BOTH MOBILE PHONES just in case!!!! Great plan with just one small problem.. NZ is 2 hours ahead of Aus time wise and we hadn't changed the time on the phones....
A knock on the bedroom door at twenty to eight this morning..... from the owner who was giving us a lift there and we had a mad dash to get dressed and packed... I've never seen Lucy get up so fast in the morning!!!! hehehehehehehe!!!!
The drive to Kaikoura was very scenic and NZ coastline is something else to look at... We stopped in Kaikoura at a seal colony which was cool and then we checked into our digs for the night..... They're pretty good, ensuite, with tv and kettle... oooohhhhhhhh......
We're off to Picton tomorrow ....
