Taupo

Hey all,

2 blogs in 2 days, blimey, so today we are in Taupo... We had a nice lie in at Rotorua this morning as we weren't being picked up until 11.30am.. Seeing as we had to check out by 10am we set the alarm for 8.30.. 8.10 there is a knock on the door.. First thought it's housekeeping and we have overslept... nope it's a mad French woman at the door trying to get in.. Jane answered god knows what she wanted (we think she was looking for a man to go cycling with to which the response was "we have a man in our room but he is our man, random!!!)

We checked out and had some brekky.. Lee got to speak to his mum and dad on Skype which was great and the bus picked us up about 11.45am... Only a short ride to Taupo today 82km so we did a couple of stops along the way at the mud pools and Huka falls for some pics.. see below..

We got here about 2pm, checked in and got some beans on toast for lunch and then just chilled out for a bit... Then Lee and Jane went on a 2 hour sail around Lake Taupo... it was great fun we went on a yacht called the fearless and Lee even got to steer, was fab...

Afterwards we went to the Irish pub Mulligans down by the lake for fish and chips and a couple of drinks...

Another early start tomorrow, 7.30am pickup and we are off to National Park.. should be fun..
