Beard's on Tour: Sydney

Hey all,

So we are in Sydney and the sun is shining. This is what we have been upto the last few days and some pics as well.

Sunday February 12

Left our accomadation about 11am to catch the flight from Alice Springs to Sydney.. Fair to say the flight was a little bit bumpy (alot), we landed on time and it was pissing it down...

We were getting picked up from the airport by Sophie (someone we met on a tour of Asia in November / December).. We found and checked into our hotel which is near the travelodge we stayed in last time we were here..

In the evening we went out for dinner at a pub about 5 mins away.. Best bit was they do proper pints (not thoese moody 425ml ones in Quorn!!)

Monday February 13

Had a late start as we were and we didn't get up and out until about 11am. We headed down to Circular Quay to pick up our See Sydney Cards, booked ourselves on a couple of tours and went to have a look down by the Opera House where we had coffee...

In the afternoon we chilled out for a bit and then we went out to a pub called the Shark Hotel we went to a fair bit when we were last in Sydney.. It's changed into an Asian restaurant so we had dinner there.. it was bloody lovely and a good choice. Lee had Roast Duck Red Curry..

Tuesday February 14

Valentines Day... aaaahhhhh !!!! First stop the Pandora shop to buy a bracelet for Lucy (see Facebook!!!)... Then we went to the Opera House and chilled for a bit whilst Jane went on a tour.. Afterwards we grabbed some lunch and then jumped on a ferry over to Darling Harbour to go and visit the Aquarium and Wildlife Park...

We saw a crocodile and sat in on a Koala talk which was great and we got some cracking pics... In the evening we went back to the Crown for dinner, even better than Sunday... Came back to the hotel and watched the Hangover..

Wednesday February 15

Early start as we were being picked up for a tour at 7.30am... Was similar to one of the tours we did last time but with a different company and besides Lee would have forgotten most of it anyway!!!

Tour took until lunchtime and we went around Sydney and some of the suburbs and spent an hour at Bondi Beach which was cool...

Just chilling this afternoon. Tomorrow we are off to Taronga Zoo to see the baby elephant and are meeting up with some people from our Australia tour which will be great!!!.
