Canadian Rockies

Hello everybody,

2 posts in 2 days, crikey.. well we have had a cracking day today in the Canadian Rockies...

Early start, wake up call at 5.25am, nice not!!!! we had brekky at 6.30 and then we left the hotel at 7.30am... We were heading for Columbia Ice Fields today with a scenic drive through the Rockies to get there.. the weather didn't look that great when we left and for the first hour or so it piddled down, but thankfully about 9ish it stopped...

First of all we stopped off for some pics and a coffee stop.. the scenery we could see from the coach was fab and reminded us a lot of certain parts of New Zealand, but couldnt get our heads around the fact there was so much snow everywhere there was so much snowfall over night our driver told us the winter has come early he has not seen it this early in the year before, it was amazing to see took your breath away. It made me (lucy) think it was christmas !!!! lol

From about 10am onwards the sun came out too yey!!!! We got to the ice fields about 11am.. we had to hang around for 30 mins or so and then we got on a bus up to the snow coaches which were going to take us up to the Glacier.... the snow coaches were cool they had massive trackor tyres so they could get through the snow and ice once there standing on the Glacier well to be honest words or the pictures can not tell the story it really was a amazing experience to be standing on loads and loads of ice with the sun shining it felt quite warm but then i did have a few layers of clothes on (lucy).

We had about 20 mins on the glacier, One of the guys on our tour threw a snowball at our tour director Barbara and it hit her smack bang on the top of the head OMG I nearly wet myself she then told him to lay down in the snow and he did and she throw one at his head !!! see pic below was really funny!!

Once back at the lodge we had lunch there back on the coach at 2pm to head to Lake Louise OMG it was stunning the colour amazes me bright blue clear water, There was a massive hotel over looking the lake we went inside to get a coffee whilst in the Q Lucy Popped to the ladies room on her return Lee is nearly at the front of the Q looking really pissed off and mad now people its not often you see Lee pissed odd and mad i walk over as quickly as i can as Lee is saying to the man behind him " thats ok mate i just got half your F**K*N* coffee down my jeans " once Lee had paid we stand there putting sugar and milk in coffee whilst Lee is telling Lucy very loudly that said man had dropped coffee down his F**K*** jeans which is responce Lucy says yes Lee i heard you the first time !!!!!!!! and to top it off the man was a german Lee thought that part was funny !!!!

Back on the bus heading back to Hotel on the way we stop suddenly not sure why but after a couple on secs we realaise the bus it froint has stopped because they saw a bear in the trees OMG OMG even when we were in USA in yellow stone national park we didnt see a wild bear but here in Canada we saw a Black Bear it was amazing we weren't aloud to get off the coach to take a pic we took some but you cant really see the bear in them so you will have to take our word for it that we saw one.

Off again tomorrow to a place called Kamloops we have cancelled our wake up call not way 5.30am again breakfast 6.30am leaving at 7.30 this is hard work this travelling thing !!!!! not long to go and we will be in China really looking forward to that...

And in 2 weeks we will have been married 3 years OMG where has that time gone !!!

Lots Of Love
