Hello Peeps,
Sorry it's been a few days since our last post but the internet connection at the first hotel in Vancuver was not very quick.
So we arrived in a place called Kamloops on Sunday to be fair we didnt see much of the place we got there at 3pm and left at 8am the next day all we saw was the hotel which was nice we decided to treat ourselves and have a meal in the hotel saw loads of people from our tour in the restraunt we had a fantastic meal food was lovely and also had a lovely bottle of wine.
Monday morning we did get alittle lay in left at 8am breakfast was at 7am heading towards Whistler which is a ski resort town it was lovely little town surrounded by mountains the only down side was the weather it rained really hard from the moment we got there and carried all night and still when we left the next day.
On the way to whislter we stopped off at a bakery and got some lunch and we all went for a pinic near whilster it was lovely sat by a river eatting lunch and the sun was shining lovely
The hotel in whistler was lovely we were lucky enough to get a suite on the third floor which was like a mini flat the bed was upstairs and we had a mini kitchenett and lounge area really was nice Lee got very excited at the thought he could cook a meal so we did we had spag bol was lovely.
the next day we headed to Vancuver which was only a couple of hours drive away we had a city tour and then got dropped off at a Granville Island which is part of Vancuver which had a big Market Hall we could walk around lots of Food stalls and gifts and well everything really we were dropped off and left for 2 hours the tour director said they would come back and pick us up after the 2 hours so it only took us about 45 mins to an hour to walk around the market hall and had a Beef Stew Pie mmmmm was lovely after that we were like what are we gonna do for another hour well we found the Granville Island Brewery !!! went and had a few beers!!! nice they did and taste section which meant you could get 3 differenet beers to try which were just under half a pint each which took us the next hour finished just in time to walk back to the point where the coach was picking us up !!
Fortunately we were able to check into our hotel early and we just spend the rest of the day chilling... Yesterday (Friday) we just had a look around the city.. kinda hard to know what to make of the place to be honest.. some really nice parts but lots of homeless people etc around so it all feels a bit seedy sometimes.. Last night we went for a nice meal at a local pub called Rosie's and a couple of drinks...
Fun and games at the hotel last night.. a group of people decided to bring a dog to the hotel and then pissoff for a night out and leave it in the room, cue lots of whining and barking.. You do question the common sense of some people, mind you they were yanks so maybe that explains it..
This morning we checked out of our hotel and into another one on Granville Street that we are staying in until we fly on Wednesday to Beijing...
Tomorrow we are planning to go to the aquarium in Stanley Park... Until next time...
